Stories from Crete!

Stories from Crete began as a personal retreat. A place where I could write about Crete, share images, moments, thoughts and small stories from the island. Since my last post in 2018 a lot have changed. Mostly around me. But not my love for storytelling and for Crete. So I'm now returning with a different mood and a different purpose. This time I want to build something more substantial. To turn this blog into a digital home for the stories of Crete, mine and other people's, places and experiences. I want to create content that will inspire, inform and support my vision for a life full of creation and connection to my homeland. If you love Crete, if you like true stories, peaceful walks, hidden landscapes, flavors and people who have something to share, then you are in the right place. One of my favorite monuments to visit and take pictures of when in Heraklion is Loggia. 

I had been wanting to hike through Agia Irene Gorge for the past three years and finally made it a week ago. I wonder what took me so long. It was an experience worth while.

Two weeks ago I had the chance to go on a road trip to Sougia. Sougia is on the south coast of Chania, a little village right next to the sea. Although I never was too fond of taking a swim there, this time I changed my mind. So far this year it's been my best day at the beach!!!
